John Kerkhoff

John Kerkhoff is an attorney for the Pacific Legal Foundation. He works in the separation of powers practice group, where he helps ensure that federal and state governments stay within their constitutionally defined powers. Through this work, Kerkhoff advances due process rights of individuals and businesses and helps promote government accountability.

Prior to joining PLF, Kerkhoff worked at a large law firm, where he gained experience in all matters of litigation from federal and state courts to federal administrative agencies and private arbitrations. He clerked for the Honorable Eugene E. Siler Jr. of the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit and the Honorable Joseph M. Hood of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Kentucky.

Kerkhoff earned a B.S. in journalism from Ohio University and a J.D. from Vanderbilt Law School.
