John Garvey has served as president of the Catholic University of America since 2010. An expert in constitutional law, religious liberty and the First Amendment, he is the author of numerous books. He earned degrees from Notre Dame and Harvard Law School, was a law professor at Notre Dame, and spent 11 years as dean of the Boston College Law School before coming to CUA.
