Carrie Sheffield is a senior policy analyst at Independent Women's Voice. She managed municipal credit risk at Goldman Sachs and rated healthcare bonds at Moody’s Investors Service. Later she did research for American Enterprise Institute scholar Edward Conard, was named a Warren Brookes Journalism Fellow at the Competitive Enterprise Institute, and worked as executive director for Generation Opportunity, a project of Americans For Prosperity. She has written for Forbes, The Wall Street Journal and other publications, and appears regularly on national television shows. She earned a master’s degree in public policy from Harvard University and a bachelors’ in communications at Brigham Young University, and she completed a Fulbright fellowship in Berlin.
